The Festival of Speed has always been an opportunity to dust off our racing cars and let them do what they do best. A wide selection of past and present cars were run up the hill, including the Auto Union Type D and the R10 TDI.

Auto Union Type D
Built for the 1938 Grand Prix season the Type D featured a supercharged 3 litre V12 engine and is considered one of the most magnificent racing cars of all time.
Audi R10 TDI
When it was introduced in 2006 the R10 shock motorsport to its very core – Audi unveiled a Diesel sports prototype with the intention of winning Le Mans. Not only did it succeed, it won for 3 consecutive years.
