Audi’s 100-man strong team at the Aluminium and Lightweight Construction Centre has been devoted to the development of new ideas since 1994. Its engineers are responsible for key products like the Audi Space Frame (ASF) and progressive techniques and production methods. Their success in research and development is the driving force behind Audi's remarkable progress in this area.

The Audi Space Frame (ASF) is a high-strength, lightweight aluminium frame structure used on aluminium bodies for their lightweight durability. In addition to improved safety and handling, the Audi Space frame also offers economical fuel consumption.
This is just one of the many outstanding achievements attributed to development efforts of Audi’s Aluminium and Lightweight Construction Centre.
