A powerful but economical driveAll Audi A4 Avant petrol engines are equipped with FSI®, a particularly economical form of direct injection. The TDI® engines use state-of-the-art common rail injection technology, are fitted with diesel particulate filters and comply with EU4 emission standards. Diesel You have a choice of sophisticated diesel units with four or six cylinders for your Audi A4 Avant; ranging from 105 kW (143PS) up to 176 kW (240PS). The most powerful diesel engine for the A4 Avant, the 3.0 TDI, delivers an impressive 500 Nm of torque between 1,500 rpm and 3,000 rpm, and reaches 62 mph from rest in just 6.3 seconds; top speed is 155 mph (limited).
Fuel consumption and emissions data: Audi A4 Avant 2.0 TDI 6-speed manual transmission, 105 kW (143PS); combined fuel consumption 5.7 l/100 km; combined CO2 emissions 149 g/km Audi A4 Avant 3.0 TDI quattro, 176 kW (240PS); combined fuel consumption 7.1 l/100 km; combined CO2 emissions 188 g/km
PetrolThe petrol engines in the A4 Avant are equipped with FSI® or TFSI®, both proven technologies from the world of motorsport. In FSI engines, fuel is injected into the combustion chamber in precisely metered quantities. This means efficient combustion and improved petrol utilisation. TFSI combines FSI with a turbocharger to deliver even more power. The petrol models comprise both four- and six-cylinder variants, with power ratings ranging from 118 kW (160PS) to 195 kW (265PS).
The most powerful A4 Avant, the 3.2 FSI, features the Audi valvelift system, which reduces fuel consumption but not the power output. This allows the 3.2 FSI to accelerate from rest to 62 mph in just 6.4 seconds.
Fuel consumption and emissions data: Audi A4 Avant 1.8T FSI, 118 kW (160PS); combined fuel consumption 7.2 l/100 km; combined CO2 emissions 172 g/km Audi A4 Avant 3.2 FSI quattro, 195 kW (265PS); combined fuel consumption 9.2 l/100 km; combined CO2 emissions 219 g/km
