A tire pressure monitoring system oversees the specified pressure in all four tires while the car is being driven and warns the driver in the event of pressure loss with symbols in the
driver information system (DIS) in the instrument cluster. The system is intended to assist drivers monitor tire pressure, but cannot relieve them of responsibility of maintaining the correct tire pressure.
