Gaps in body panels that are barely visible (with joints as narrow as possible), are an sign of careful workmanship and body quality. The most important characteristics of build quality, however, are invisible: they include body stiffness and the body’s inherent passive safety (a 'rigid' “occupant cell”). In addition, effective corrosion protection is also a part of quality.
