Engines and CO2
Not surprisingly the latest addition to the Audi range employs the most compact and fuel efficient Audi engines, all of which compensate very effectively for their relatively small displacements with the latest turbo charger technology. The A1 will be available with three impressively frugal units, a new 1.2 TFSI petrol engine with 86PS, an 1.4 TFSI petrol engine with 122PS and a diesel 1.6 TDI engine with 105PS, all optimised by engine start-stop and energy recuperation systems to achieve low CO2 emissions and fuel consumption.
The 1.4 TFSI is available with standard manual transmissions, as well as a seven-speed dual-clutch DSG S tronic gearbox and start-stop technology.
