Why run the engine when you’re standing still?
If you’re stuck in traffic, what’s the point of wasting fuel by letting the engine idle needlessly? Once up to operating temperature, Audi’s Start-Stop technology cuts the engine when the car is standing still and in neutral. The engine immediately starts again as soon as you depress the clutch. The whole process is barely noticeable but it can be disabled at the touch of a button if required.
