Huge high-performance and fade-resistant brakes sit behind the 18-inch and optional 19-inch cast aluminium wheels. The brakes deliver truly impressive stopping power whenever required, along with first-rate pedal 'feel'.

The black-painted brake callipers – at the front with the S5 logo – grip the ventilated disks with newly developed brake pads. In fact the front and rear pads are 25% and 60% larger than those on a 6 cylinder A5 Sportback, all helping to stop the car in a balanced, safe and effective way.
