TFSI: Direct injection and forced induction combined
TFSI technology unlocks superior power, more dynamic performance and better economy from petrol engines. In fact, compared with many naturally aspirated V8 engines, a V6 TFSI engine delivers the same sporty performance but using 10 to 15% less fuel.
FSI and forced induction technology work so well together because the evaporation of fuel in the combustion chamber cools the intake air giving higher compression, improved engine efficiency and, in turn, lower CO2 emissions.
