A6 allroad quattro
Lean and strong
20 years ago, Audi introduced the first TDI engine and since then we have been continuously refining this class-leading technology for superior levels of performance. For example, the TDI engine fitted to the 3.0 TDI Audi A6 allroad quattro is available in two versions – a 204PS variant delivering 450Nm of torque and a higher powered 245PS version delivering 580Nm of torque.
Utilising common-rail technology, a series of piezo injectors use electrical charge to precisely control the amount of fuel injected into the engine. As well as reducing noise, this allows combustion to happen at a lower temperature with less oxygen, which lowers emissions and increases efficiency.
