TFSI: Direct injection petrol and turbocharging combined
TFSI technology unlocks superior power, more dynamic performance and better economy from petrol engines. In fact, compared with naturally aspirated V6 engines, TFSI delivers the same sporty performance but with four cylinders and using 10 to 15% less fuel.
FSI and turbocharging technology work so well together because the evaporation of fuel in the combustion chamber cools the intake air giving higher compression, improved engine efficiency and, in turn, lower CO2 emissions.
The Audi TT 2.0 TFSI delivers exceptional performance reaching 62mph in 6.1 seconds and going on to reach a top speed of 152 mph.
