DPF Technology

It is an industry wide requirement that all new diesel powered cars employ a system for filtering particulates from the exhaust. Audi has been using DPF (Diesel Particulate Filter) technology for a number of years, and for the vast majority of Audi owners, the DPF technology operates without the driver noticing.

If you have not previously experienced DPF-related issues with your Audi, there is no reason to assume that you will start to. However in the unlikely event of there being an issue with your DPF, your Audi will give you a warning on the dashboard. Please refer to your owner’s manual for guidance on how to help the car perform a ‘regeneration’ of the DPF.

Should you have any further questions regarding the DPF on your Audi, please contact your local Audi Centre.
