A host of Audi models, including the recently updated Q3, have been treated to some pampering and are now available in the stylish Black Edition trim

Audi's Black Edition models are the epitome of style. This extra level of specification adds brooding character to each vehicle and boasts a host of extra design details and sport trim, building on the S line exterior package. It is now available on more models than previously, including the facelifted Q3, which was released at the end of 2016.
The Q3 Black Edition replaces the S line Plus trim by incorporating many of that variant's extensive features. Its front end draws on the look of the new S line exterior package with high-gloss black paint for the air inlets and the singleframe grille. The colour black carries over to the wheel arches, door trim strips, roof rails, exterior mirror housings and the window slot trim.
At the rear, the roof edge spoiler and the lower section of the bumper are finished in glossy black. S line badges adorn the fenders hinting at the lowered sport suspension that lies beneath. As standard the vehicle also benefits from the Audi drive select system and the driver information system, as well as diamond cut 19-inch 10-Y-spoke design alloy wheels.
THE BLACK EDITION IS THE EPITOME OF STYLE. IT IS NOW AVAILABLE ON A WIDE RANGE OF VEHICLES INCLUDING THE Q3, A3, TT, S6 AND S7
The Q3 Black Edition also flaunts its dynamic character inside. Front occupants will sit comfortably, benefiting from desirable sport seats with power lumbar supports, which are covered in a mix of black leather and fabric with the S line logo embossed in the centre sections. A leather-Alcantara combination and Fine Nappa leather are also optionally available, if desired.
Special elements catch the eye, including Piano black inlays and door sill trims with S line logos. The driver is faced with a flat-bottomed, multi-function 3-spoke leather steering wheel behind which are the S tronic transmission's paddle shifts, while the pedals are made of stainless steel. Models with a manual gearbox have an aluminium-and-leather gear lever knob.
The Q3 Black Edition is available now and prices start at £35,150 OTR. As well as featuring on Audi's best-selling SUV, the Black Edition specification makes a welcome return to the A3 and TT line-ups and also spreads to the S6 Saloon and Avant, as well as the S7 Sportback. All will benefit from similar levels of specification and unique black features.
Finally, we should also mention the Black Editions' upgraded sound systems. With more loudspeakers and increased total output, they're certain to delight the most discerning listener. And for an old-school rock fan like me, what better way to enjoy AC/DC's ‘Back in Black'?
