Audi made quite a splash at this year’s Geneva Motor Show with numerous hotly anticipated new models including the Audi Q8 sport concept, RS 5 Coupé and RS 5 DTM race car

The Geneva Motor Show is one of the truly unmissable events on the motoring calendar. This year marked the 87th running of the prestigious exhibition, with Audi making a big impression on tens of thousands of car fans.

There was a mouthwatering selection of new models on display, including the Audi Q8 sport concept, a luxury hybrid SUV design study that previews a potential future production

car. The high-performance Audi RS 5 Coupé was also on show. Available to order now and powered by a potent 2.9-litre twin-turbocharged V6 engine, the RS 5 Coupé shared the limelight with the new RS 5 DTM race car, which competes in the world’s fastest touring-car series.

The Audi Q8 sport concept hints at a future new Audi model. The full-size premium SUV features a dramatic coupé-like profile with generous space for passengers to relax in the Fine Nappa and Nubuk leather interior.

As intelligent as it is beautiful, the Q8 sport concept embraces advanced technology. The

contact-analogue head-up display merges real and virtual worlds, with navigation arrows appearing directly on the road. The V6 hybrid drivetrain is equally sophisticated, delivering an astonishing 476PS – and a range of 37.3 miles on electric power alone.

Sports car performance, premium SUV luxury and hybrid efficiency – the Q8 sport concept promises the best of all worlds.


Up to 60kg lighter, 17 per cent more efficient and even faster than before, Audi’s new RS 5 Coupé is the epitome of high performance.

The twin-turbo V6 engine produces 450PS, yet returns impressive fuel economy. Fitted with quattro all-wheel drive, the RS 5 Coupé can rocket to 62mph in just 3.9 seconds.

Audi drive select is standard, allowing drivers to adjust the driving response from highly comfortable to uncompromisingly sporting at the press of a button.

V8 engine with over 500PS. Rule changes for 2017 have allowed for a new rear wing with an F1-inspired Drag Reduction System – and drivers including British-born Jamie Green will hope to take full advantage of the extra straight-line speed this provides, during what promises to be another high-octane season of racing in the DTM series.
