Swerve assist can help the driver steer the vehicle around an obstacle in a collision avoidance situation detected as being critical. If the driver actively avoids the obstacle following the acute warning, swerve assist supports the driver with specific brake application and use of minimal steering torque to correct the steering angle. When moving off or driving slowly, turn assist can initiate a brake intervention to prevent the vehicle from colliding with an oncoming vehicle when turning right. This function is available only within system limits and when the indicator is activated.

The systems work only within system limits and assist the driver. However, the driver remains responsible for driving the vehicle and is required to be attentive at all times.
