Your music library in the MMI displayGiving you easy access to thousands of songs: the Audi music interface integrates portable media players such as the Apple iPod into the Audi MMI. Browse and select from artists, albums, tracks or genres, you can navigate conveniently through the entire music collection on the storage medium with the MMI controls and the optionally available multifunction steering wheel. The highlightsThe media player remains safely stowed away in the glove box during your journey, connected to the Audi music interface by cable. This cable transmits not only the track information and music to the Audi music interface, but also recharges your media player.

The range of control options available for media players via the MMI and multifunction steering wheel depends on the player and adapter used. Your Audi Dealer will be able to provide precise details of the available functions and any restrictions. Audi music interface Bluetooth® adapterThe Bluetooth adapter for the Audi music interface gives you convenient wireless access to music on your mobile phone or media player via the Audi music interface. Data is transferred using Bluetooth audio streaming (A2DP), which requires a terminal device with A2DP capability. For current information on suitable terminal devices, please refer to the PDF “Tested media players/mobile phones” or ask your Audi Dealer. The Bluetooth adapter for the Audi music interface is available from your Audi Dealer. Software update for the Audi music interfaceBecause there are a great many media players with very different software versions on the market, in certain circumstances the range of functions available on some relatively new devices via the Audi music interface may be limited. Regular updates to the operating software for the Audi music interface are therefore released; these can be installed by the user.
