Urgent action required for affected vehicles

If your Audi was produced between around 2005 and 2018, it could be fitted with an airbag manufactured by a company called Takata.

In the event of an accident, in which the front airbag is triggered, your airbag’s gas generator could burst, sending metal parts into the car and causing serious or even fatal injuries to you and your passengers.

Please check below to see if your car is affected and what to do to make it safe.

The list of affected models is continuously updated, so even if your car has a Takata airbag, it may not need a repair now.

Providing your DVLA records and V5 are up to date, we will write to the registered keeper of the vehicle when your free-of-charge repair is due. Please look out for this letter and act on it immediately.

Where do I find my VIN number?

A VIN is a 17 digit code that is unique to a specific car, it starts with 'WAUZZZ'. This is printed in various places in your car such as the bottom corner of the windscreen on the passenger side, on your V5 registration document and it may have been given to you on your delivery/handover paperwork. Your VIN is also available by selecting 'equipment details' when you login to your myAudi account or by selecting the name of your car at the top of the myAudi app.
