Hands-free phone system

A built-in hands-free phone system is available as an option across the A1 range.

The options:

Bluetooth interface

Standard on Sport and S line models the Bluetooth connection allows hands free operation in conjunction with the multi function steering wheel (optional on SE).

In addition to standard hands-free functionality such as accepting and rejecting calls and hands-free communication, mobile phone preparation provides direct access to entries and phone numbers stored in the address book of compatible phones.
Mobile phone preparation - Low with Bluetooth

Mobile phone preparation low comprises a user-friendly hands-free unit, a high-performance external aerial and a charging facility. Your mobile phone is paired with the system via Bluetooth or a cradle adaptor which can be obtained from your Audi Dealer.

The big advantage of this system is that the cradle adaptor uses the car’s power supply and external antenna to make and receive calls which improves call quality and reduces handset battery consumption. Your phone can be mounted in the front centre armrest. It is highly recommended that you opt for the multifunction steering wheel for optimal hands-free operation.
Mobile phone preparation - High with Audi connect

Using this innovative system, a mobile phone can be connected to the internal UMTS (3G) module via Bluetooth (provided the mobile telephone has SIM Access Profile), or alternatively through the additional SIM card reader. It is possible to transfer phone book entries to the car and manage call lists.

Audi connect features include navigation using Google Earth images and Google Street View, destination entry via Google Maps or myAudi, online point of interest search and information services, such as weather forecasts and the latest world news. Audi connect also includes Audi traffic information online, which gives exact and accurate real-time forecasts of the traffic situation along the chosen route. The traffic situation can be displayed on the navigation map or Google Earth image, and the system can re-direct you if a quicker way to your destination can be found. Audi connect can also create a Wi-Fi hotspot in the car for convenient internet access using a mobile device, so passengers can be kept entertained as you drive.

Many Audi connect features can be simply operated via the MMI Navigation Plus, the multi-function steering wheel or the voice control system. Mobile phone preparation - High with Audi connect is only available in combination with Technology package
