The mains connecting cable with industrial connector and the operating unit of the charging system are matched to each other. If you subsequently change the mains connecting cable to a different connector type, the available charging capacity of the overall system may be reduced.
The standard e-tron charging system compact has a vehicle connecting cable measuring 4.5 m in length. Charging capacity depends on the supplied connector and market-specific mains power characteristics and may be up to 3.6 kW.
The charging capacity depends on the type of mains connector used, the country’s voltage and the number of available phases of the power network as well as the customer’s own domestic installation. It may therefore be lower in some cases.
